Alyssa earned her Juris Doctor from Duquesne University School of Law, where she was inducted into the Order of the Barristers for excellence in oral advocacy and legal writing. She graduated summa cum laude from West Virginia University's Honors College, earning highest honors distinction with dual majors in English and Psychology, and a minor in law.

Alyssa is licensed to practice law in North Carolina and West Virginia. She is active in the Mecklenburg County Bar Association, Women Lawyers of Charlotte, and the Association of Corporate Counsel, where she is recognized for her leadership and community involvement.

Earlier in her career, Alyssa practiced at respected law firms where she defended employers and business owners in state and federal court. Alyssa has also served as a corporate lawyer for one of the largest retail and convenience brands in the world. This experience gave her a unique, inside-out understanding of how businesses operate and how to protect them from risk.
